Preterists such as myself accept Jesus' words in Luke 21:22 that in the fall of Jerusalem "All things that are written must be fulfilled." Critics say this is a misapplication of the Lord's words, and that Jesus was simply saying that all predictions of Jerusalem's demise are in view. Well, in this video I accept that argument, but show that it is fatal to all futurist eschatologies! Great Stuff here!

  • I started my journey a futurist because that is what most churches now a days teach. I freaked out, thinking Jesus was coming to rapture the "select" few and probably lost some friends because of it. But the more and more I read Scripture, I couldn't read future into it anymore. Then I found preterism. I couldn't accept full P at first because of my background, but after further study Full P is the only way that makes sense and fits completely with Scripture. Thanks Don!! God Bless!!

  • 1Corth 10:11 And all these things as types did happen to those persons, and they were written for our admonition, to whom the end of the ages did come,

  • As a preterist i stay out of Daniel i.e. using Daniel as proof of fulfillment of any NT prophecy.Love you brother Don

  • God bless you sir!

  • @MrDonPreston thanks again for your video. One point I wanted to add is that the imagery Jesus gives about Him coming with His 'ANGELS,' is the very same imagery that John gives in the book of Revelation. Jesus came in the clouds, with His angels in JUDGMENT upon Israel. In the book of Revelation, it was the 'ANGELS' pouring out the Judgments. The book of Revelation goes hand in hand with Jesus coming with His 'ANGELS.'

  • I'm a Christian new to these ideas, but not necessarily object to them, as my understanding of prophecy is moot as far as my salvation is concerned.

That being said, in this view, which I find compelling, is there any prophecy dealing with these days?

I'm trying to get a mental foothold, as this really turns my understanding upside down.

  • thanks Don, your preaching is astonishing, and nobody, NOBODY, uses better scripture support to what they are saying then you. You are by far one of the best I've come across. I also really enjoy watching you destroy others in a debate. Your books and a book by Max R King back in the day have always been my favorite, and i've read many books, God bless brother

  • Very good reply Don. Thank you.
