@drussell710 for all you know the officer could have been responding to a home invasion or a heart attack. Police often are the first responders to medical emergencies.

@xtelevisionset yeah that makes alot of sense, try saying that with people speeding down the streets in school zones at 90 miles an hour, or someone tailgating you or worse during a fit of road rage. Your entitled to your opinion but it is one of ignorance.

If you all want to know what really happened I happen to know, as the officer was passing this intersection a pedestrian trying to use the crosswalk from the left side ( off camera ) was almost hit by a driver making a right hand turn on a NO TURN ON RED, the officer saw this and went after the person 1. for illegal turning on red 2. almost striking a pedestrian in crosswalk,so before you all make jokes about donut shops and what not he was trying to protect a civilian and uphold the law,his job

@likeawhispr 21801(a) C.V.C The driver of a vehicle intending to turn left or to complete a U-turn upon a highway, or to turn left into public or private property, shall yield the right-of-way to all vehicles approaching from the opposite direction which are close enough to constitute a hazard at any time during the turning movement, and shall continue to yield the right-of-way to the approaching vehicles until the left turn or U-turn can be made with reasonable safety. Lights or Not. Period.
