I know Marty could not have been any more proud so sad God could not have given them more time together-I guess its not for us to queston????

@gillesaaa I've seen Marty Jr on tv as Ronny. I had the good fortune to see Marty Sr. about two months before he passed. He put on a great show at the Penn National Raceway near Harrisburg, Pa. I have some great photos I took that day. Does anyone know How I can get in touch with Marty's family to get copies to them? I believe these might be the last pics of him in concert.

Both artists were members of each other's admiration societies. Merle even named his son in honor of Marty.

I disagree konwaruk. Ronnie himself would probably tell you that his Dad was simply in a different league to everybody else and that he just wasn't blessed with his father's magic, albeit it was quite a capable singer.
