i guess it's always somewhat of a blessing and a curse to be the child of a famous artist. in Justin's case, he obviously inherited the "music" gene from his talented father Steve Earle but now has the lifelong task of living up to his famous father's reputation. but having "Townes" as a middle name is certainly a good place to start. I wish him all the luck!

I've seen Justin at the Mucky Duck 2 or 3 times, and he is excellent, sort of an old soul, definitely lives up to his namesake, Townes (whom I also saw 4 or 5 times at the Duck, the last time just a few months before he died). Justin's first show at the Duck, in December of 2008, was one of the 4 or 5 best shows I have seen in 19 years of going there and seeing hundreds and hundreds of shows there.
