About Dr. Karen Reivich:

Dr. Karen Reivich is the co-director of the Penn Resiliency Project at the University of Pennsylvania. She is a leader in the field of depression prevention, resilience, positive psychology interventions and school-based intervention research. She co-authored The Optimistic Child and The Resilience Factor. Dr. Reivich has been featured in many publications including The New York Times and Parents Magazine and appeared on several television programs including Oprah. She puts her parenting skills and theories to work daily as the mom of four children ages 5 to 12.
