Worldwide all sorts of bees are under threat of extinction. The speed of bee decline is remarkable. We have very little time to save those that remain.

Your idea is great but since an average worker bee has an average lifespan of 35 days and only the queen can lay eggs, it would make more sense to make a bee hive to save bees instead of making shelters. I like the top bar bee hive because it's easy to build and maintain. If it's just for saving bees, you could just take some of the honey out of the hive when the hive is filled and store it for the winter.

@yellowmetalcyborg These are for solitary bees. There are hundreds of different types of solitary bees. I believe that almost every solitary bee is a queen. The bees take shelter in the holes but they also lay their eggs in them. I will do an update that shows some of the holes blocked off.  This means that the entire 8 inch deep hole is filled with bee babies and clumps of pollen to feed them!

The government is killing the bee's so only they can grow food. If this really does happen,,, Me and my family will start eating them. To hell with veggies. After all humans are nothing more than annimals!!!

There is a scientist in England that has some evidence that cellphone radiation is effecting the bee's in a negative way. Einstein said that if the bees die we have fours years left on this planet. Great work as Always,
