Jack Szostak delivered the Second Annual Lasker Lecture at the Scripps Research Institute's Florida campus on March 16, 2010. Dr. Szostak discussed the origin of cellular life and the emergence of evolution. Following Dr. Szostak, Brian Paegel gave a presentation on his research into microfluidic processors as a landscape for extracellular Darwinian evolution.

  • Any chance we can get a layman's version of this? Bloody interesting stuff.

  • Why do you conclude that the lecture does not deal with how this all could have started on earth? Watch more than the first 7min.

  • Exo biology is not his field. I would have liked him to stick more to his field of knowledge on OOL on earth. But great video non the less.
