So do you put your other hand on your elbow/armpit? That'd take some getting used to! I'll be sure to try it out on any Korean friends. :D

It depends on their level. If you're with friends, your left hand should be right around your armpit when you pour or receive. Imagine old school clothes with big sleeves hanging down. You're pulling back the sleeves so they don't fall into the food. ALWAYS pour/receive with the right hand. Not so hard, but Korean friends will really appreciate it if you do it! :D

By old school clothes, I mean old-school clothes...like Kimono. In Korea it would be hanbok (Japanese people call it chimojogori)...but even simple traditional clothes had kinda baggy sleeves. So the habit of always pulling sleeves back became important in a lot of customs.
