Greg West and Phil Mocek (see http://mocek.org/blog/?p=48) from the Cannabis Defense Coalition board of directors were thrown to the ground by private security guards then arrested by Department of Homeland Security law enforcement officers outside the Henry M. Jackson Federal Building in Seattle, Washington, around 2:00 p.m. on May 2, 2011. Both men were cited and released.

Approximately 40 people gathered outside the building to protest federal interference in Washington State cannabis policy. See cdc.coop slash federal_protest for details.

  • post the whole vid..

  • @ninjarider84 So your LESO's are the same as mine, huh? PSO takes care if everything, then when everything is calm, FPS shows up...

  • And as for photography, it is not illegal to take pictures of the OUTSIDE of a federal building, we all know that, there is a process to protest on property that you go through and you obviously didnt do that. We see people come in all the time that go thru the proper channels and get a permit to protest for that.

  • Ha I believe I know who you are Lisa, they did us proud huh professionalism and all. Once again the guard does all the work

  • Hello ninjarider84, Do I know you? For I too am intrusted to protect federal buildings.. Oh yeah Mr. pmocek, I forgot to tell you...(not) anyway I was listening on the radio when it happened. That is how I know what happened. Sorry I didn't tell ya that.

  • @ninjarider84 That's irrelevant. No orders were issued to me prior to my arrest.

  • @ninjarider84 The charge against Greg and me was unrelated to holding signs. I was not holding a sign.

After thinking about your last sentence, I wonder what about terrorism alerts would prompt anyone to ask about photography in public of something that thousands of people see every day. The front of the Henry M. Jackson Federal Building lobby is glass, so presumably there's nothing secret happening on the other side. Could you please elaborate?

  • @starlisa777 Greg's and my arraignments were scheduled for July 14. Greg's case was dismissed. I pleaded not guilty. Trial is scheduled for early October.

  • Once again you did not see what happened before the camera was on and no he wasn't arrested for carrying a sign MORON. You hide behind your comments on YouTube like you know what your talking about. We have a job to protect the federal buildings, if someone does not comply with our order to leave property you will be DETAINED, NOT ARRESTED. Maybe you should brush up on federal laws before you open your mouth.

  • @ninjarider84 Wow really you're a fucking douche bag. Are you telling me that he was arrested for merely carrying a sign? You SHOULD be ashamed of yourself. DID you really believe that guy was a terrorist because if he was you would be dead and unable to post this. YOU ARE WHAT IS WRONG WITH AMERICA IF I WAS IN YOU PLACE I WOULD HAVE QUIT RIGHT THERE ON THE SPOT DUE TO THIS INJUSTICE YOU HEARTLESS CRETIN.
