Grace's performance was modern and helped usher in a more nuanced style of acting. I think it would stand the test of time today, whereas Garland's would come off as hammy and unrealistic.

Oh boo hoo get over it. Grace kelly deserved that oscar. Her dramatic scenes were natural and believable. Garland's were awkward and fake. Though I admit, not everyone can be pleased, but Kelly's performance was deserving of that oscar.
