Classic Furs for sure,liked this song back in the day i dig it now even more all these years later.

Considering punk/new wave was a rejection of the 60s, it's pretty ironic that it was only ten years after the 60s, and yet is now 30 years from today. Noone makes music this brutally nihilistic today.
I'd say Reagan and Thatcher succeeded in destroying rebellion in music by dismantling arts and music education and independent radio. People are picking up instruments today, thank god, but they have a way to go to say fuck you to everything, which is what it takes to be interesting.
