How many miles do you do in a day on that cafe racer of yours? Look, motorcycling hasn't "come" to anything as the GL1800 isn't representative of the entire motorcycling market. It's designed for comfortable all-day touring, and you obviously aren't the target demographic. And neither am I as I'm a fan of standards, adventure bikes, and sport bikes. There's something for everyone out there if you take the time do actually look.

All of us bikers take the mick outa Goldwing riders.. but if you went to a 'meet' and someone threw you the keys and said 'take it for a spin' ...you would wouldn't ya!!?? trouble is... you'd be embarrased by the comfort..and secretly would love to have yer tunes blaring out!! aha.. omg.. I can't believe I just typed this....... oh the shame!.......

stripped down version would be a lot nicer for day riders..........remove all the panniers ,fairings and assorted bibs and bobs........not eveyone who does long distances wants what looks what looks like an enlarged scooter........retain engine protection bars though

Navigation? Digital sound system? Ipod connectivity!?!?! What the hell is this? What has motorcycle riding come to? I'll stick with my 40 year old cafe racer. But then again, I'm not an old man like EVERY owner of a goldwing.
