The issues surrounding the indigenous Uighur's is complex. I agree with some things you say but not with some. Uighur's (pronounced ooy-ghour) are an ancient peoples often with white skin, black hair and slanted coloured eyes. They were known to be different to their neighbours as in "strange/weird looking". They've shared much with the world. An example from the smallest scale, the pasta/spaghetti in Europe originated from Uighur cuisine.
