This a song written a few years ago. The words are a poem my grandmother, Margaret N. Hogan, wote for my grandfather when they were young, probably prior to the 1930's.
To My Beloved
Take my hand in yours, beloved
Let's go down together
Laughing through the sunny days
And the winter weather
Every little breeze that blows
Through the boughs above me
Every little singing bird
Tells me that you love me
Keep me closely at your side
Life were dark without you
Hope and comfort seem to be
Clinging round about you
Let your love as constant be
As the heaven above you
And with an untiring heart
Dearest, I will love you
