Copyright Adventure (read the description)

A couple of confuzzling points:

1 - The ads aren't FOR Nine Inch Nails albums or merch or anything. They're just general ads, and the money that comes from those ads goes to NIN.

2 - My problem isn't that they're making money off it. I'd would certainly have gone ahead if they'd said "A condition of using our songs is we want to advertise on your vids."
But they didn't - they just said "The conditions of using our songs are 1) credit us, and 2) you can't make money."

3 - Don't go blaming big evil record companies. Nine Inch Nails is independently signed.

4 - I'm sure it's legal. I wasn't saying it's illegal, I was saying it's underhanded. The two aren't necessarily linked.

well it seems you've placed a disclaimer stating "non-commercial" below the vid, so it should be fine, and yes, it does seem a little shifty. i've been seeing a lot of people saying DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN ANY OF THE MUSIC USED IN THIS VID or something along those lines below the videos. not sure if it has anything to do with wording. but there are a lot of those vids with the giant claim to not own anything that's not theirs below.
