This game is actually pretty fun. You justsuck at it is the problem. I'll be honest it is a lot more fun playin 2 player. But Players that Blow = You.

True... I didn't really try the two player mode, so I can't say I thought that sucked. I can say though that the single player game, yeah that sucked... not to mention it isn't that original. I will say thought it wasn't the worst game I've played.

Well I do admit it was a bit biased and all, I just really hate games that are too unoriginal to have their own concepts. Other than the Slow Power Up, Thunder and Lightning basically copies the game to the letter... only with a few little differences. But again, this is just my opinion... sorry if it come off like that though.

The Japanese version, Family Block, starts you off with more lives.

i like this game. it is very hard to beat. if you are playing on an emulator, let me suggest playing Family Block. it is the same game except you start with 7 lives.

In all fairness, Arkanoid ripped off the Atari classic Breakout as well. And you gotta admit, the level designs in this game were pretty damn unique, even if the gameplay wasn't a completely original idea.

I remember Arkanoid 2:Revenge of ???(Not sure of the exact title) for the arcade being much more fun than this rip-off...

It's funny, because Romstar is the company that bought the rights to bring Arkanoid to US arcades. I guess since Taito wouldn't give up the console rights too, they just made a copy so they could sell it on the NES. Too bad they were 3 or 4 years late!
