I loved this movie when I was a kid, and I always assumed the melody was by Mel Brooks. However, I just heard it on the radio--turns out it's Brahms, Hungarian Dance #4 in F sharp minor.

And one of the best not-russian versions of the soviet book.

круто я и не знал что есть и иностранная версия...

Есть много хороших иностранных фильмов про сокровища в стульях. этот фильм снят в 1970 году. А 1962 сделали 12 стульев в Кубе (Las doce sillas). Там изменения про Кубу. В других фильмах искалито то 13 то 7 то 5 стульев.
В конце концов: Замечательный роман. A great novel
