In the conclusion of his study on smoked Cannabis (marijuana) in Pain and Palliative Care", Donald Abrams, MD, UCSF School of Integrative Medicine, presents his findings to the Fourth Clinical Conference on Cannabis Therapeutics, Santa Barbara, CA - April, 2006.
Dr. Abram's study was published in Feburary of 2007, as "Cannabis in Painful HIV-associated Sensory Neuropathy", in the Journal of the American Academy of Neurology:
http://www.neurology.org/cgi/content/abstract/68/7/515
Conclusion: Smoked cannabis was well tolerated and effectively relieved chronic neuropathic pain from HIV-associated sensory neuropathy. The findings are comparable to oral drugs used for chronic neuropathic pain.

  • Great video and very true. For example, I just had minor surgery on my leg (in a high traffic area). Whenever I smoked, I actually forgot about the pain in my leg. Even when I consciously thought about it and realized it should hurt, I was still virtually pain free. No naproxen needed. :)

  • excellent video

  • @HydroDay yes but most dominatly THC is what dose the magic. and from what is still unknown is that CBD and CBN and those and other cannabinoids are part of the process of The main ones. I ahve a great paper i love refering to

    Cannabis and Cannabis Extracts:

Greater Than the Sum of Their Parts?

    John M. McPartland

    Ethan B. Russo

suggests that different parts have different uses. and a few of the known medicinal parts are listed with info look it up its interesting.

    PS I didnt say THC

  • @StartswithASeed You assume THC is the only cannabinoid that effects your chemistry "At least 85 cannabinoids have been isolated from the cannabis plant" -wiki.

  • @HydroDay yes you can, why not there are strans containing such low amounts you would have to smoke a feild, lol

  • Lol, you can't have a placebo study of smoked cannabis because people know when they smoke it what it tastes like :)

  • Thanks for sharing this. This is important info. People everywhere need to know that marijuana is a plant that has always helped us.
