yes running barefoot is the best way to run..but humans didnt evolve to run on pavement. We evolved walking and running on grasses and dirts.
Use running shoes if youre going to run on pavement to relieve the stresses on your bones!

actually doing anything barefoot is better for you because wearing shoes changes you posture out of its natural state. if your worried about running barefoot there are five fingered shoes that mold to your feet. I know you can get them at outdoor stores like REI
