Let's Play Final Fantasy X - Part 62: Via Purifico - Evrae Altana - The Highbridge

Tidus, Wakka and Rikku continue travelling through the underwater section of the Via Purifico and eventually encounter the reincarnated version of Evrae: Evrae Altana. Since this is essentially some kind of reanimated/ressurected version of Evrae, it's latently zombified, so you can kill it by hitting it with 2 phoenix downs.

Once they find the exit of the Via Purifico, they meet up with Yuna, Lulu, Auron and Kimahri on the Highbridge, and are eventually joined by Maester Seymour, Maester Kinoc and some Guado. It is revealed that Kinoc was killed by Seymour, who then reveals his ultimate goal: to become the next Sin and destroy Spira and relieve it from suffering. The party protest this and Seymour absorbs the life force of all the guado and Kinoc and turns into Seymour Natus.

Kimahri tries to hold Seymour off to allow Yuna and the rest of her guardians to escape. Yuna and co eventually turn around and return to help Kimahri.
