The Arizona Legislature has referred an 18 percent sales tax increase to the ballot. They say they need the money to keep state government running because they have cut all there is to cut. But have they really?

  • Government waste is nothing new in Arizona.

We need a republican, like Fife Symington, (minus the corruption) to fix our budget mess.

  • I know that 1 cent doesn't sound like much, but it adds up. They say it's only going to increase your tax bill by $400 over a year. Well, that $400 is significant if you only make $26,000 a year, and are trying to support a family. It's $400 more over the already significant taxes we all pay. Vehicle taxes, sales taxes (state, and local), property taxes, etc. And, it's $400 on top of 406 in Gilbert if that passes. And on top of the 2 cents in Phoenix on food.

  • @B4MVluver blah blah blah, sounds to me that a kid that doesn't realize everything she buys is going to be taxed 18% so her french teacher can keep buying underarm deoderant can be someone who knows jack about what the real world's gonna be like.

  • What this video is saying is that if the government REALLY wanted to find other places to cut, THEY COULD, but they always threaten the schools because they don't want to lower their SPENDING RATE. Get it, little morons, do ya hmm??? DO YA?

  • Here's the deal CHILDREN, if YOU aren't paying income taxes, YOU REALLY DON'T comprehend. PROP 100 is a SALES TAX and it means that EVERYTHING you buy will have a tax on it, a tax that is not necessary. I don't care if your French teacher says they need it, SHE works for the people who wrote this tax, so SHE'S BIASED.

  • @shimauma42 I'm a smart young woman that isn't going to put up with your ridicule, i'm not going to let myself get worked up over some loser 39 year old yelling at me, a kid. i told my french teacher who WILL get fired if this bill doesn't pass, i told her what you said, and she thinks it is wrong for an adult to yell a a child fighting for her rights, and that no wonder great people with great souls and attitudes get fired, because dumb people like you are around.

  • @hula121heavy thank you for setting this guy straight. he needs it, as you can tell he is pretty narrow minded.

  • @hula121heavy it becomes personal when it's MY tax money the libtard youth are huffing after. If you guys think the money should come from somewhere then petition the lawmakers to take it from politicians, light rail, or wasteful "art" projects, not from HARD WORKING TAXPAYERS.

  • Whoa, whoa. No need to get all personal there. Can you at least disagree respectfully please? I am by no means a lazy teenager. I don't have a car, but I do work to help support my single parent family. We're working hard to get by, and we know how important the education system is, and a lot of what needs to happen next year relies on the one-cent sales tax increase passing. We love the high living quality here, and my mom and teachers always say the money has to come from somewhere.
