  • The kiln should be at 1050F while working and it should hold there until about 30 minutes after you put the last piece in there, if you're just making small marbles.

    It should then ramp down slowly until it reaches room temperature. If pieces are too hot to rest on your tenderest parts,they're too hot to take out of the kiln.

    The time and temp for each hold depends on the size of the pieces and the type of glass.

    Some simple reading should get you that info.
