  • So yes, any machine that preserves the human body (such as a stem cell machine or a cybernetic body) is okay as long as no harm is done upon another person. We can easily live in harmony with nature and modern technology.......all we need to so is not use up what we don't need.

  • I don't think the point is so much that controling nature with technology is bad or immoral. I think it is that controlling nature with technology is IMPOSSIBLE! We are also part of nature, and so there can be no outside controller who knows exactly what he does when he manipulates the world around him.

  • Not only is it impossible to control nature, it is impossible to control a technology! Are you familiar with Marshal McCluhan? He describes the history of technological development and shows how, with every advance in technology, unexpected results end up altering what it means to be human far more than the original intended purpose. Listen to my video entitled "The Web"

  • Alan Watts sounds like Peter Cushing. I keep expecting him to say "You may fire when ready".

  • "during filming of Star Wars, a star-struck Carrie Fisher found it hard to deliver her lines to him and seem terrified in the presence of a charming, polished man who smelled of 'linen and lavender' when in their first scene together, her character speaks of Cushing's as having a 'foul stench'."

  • i find im happy when i'm learning what life is about. I want to evolve. im unhappy with standing still. or worse going in the wrong direction.

  • Once again well said. I find myself wanting to learn more than ever and being able to accomplish so many fulfilling things.

I see a great divide in the world these days and I know in time we will all start to make better choices and realize our true powers to be anything, do anything, and live a life free of control and fear.

I am with you though, and can not comprehend how so many sit idle wasting their lives. It is beautiful how we all express ourselves in dif. ways while being one.

  • music is too loud!

  • I Love Alan Watts!

  • Sometimes the music is louder than Watts voice so you can't hear him properly. Is this upload on what Watts is saying or the images and SOUND you drowned him out with?

  • The video and music detract from Mr. Watts speech.

  • @redliterocket4 I think you need to define 'control' a little more precisely. For instance, I can go in my backyard and plant beans and continue to cultivate a plot of land for many years. I am making a conscious decision in the rearrangement of nature which may constitute 'controlling'. But is rearrangement really 'absolute control'? Doubtful

  • mis see on, mis teeb elu elamisväärseks - eesmärgipäratus, loomulikult..

  • here are some: Conjure One, E.S.Posthumus, David Arkenstone, Clint Mansell - the fountain, also try binaural tones

  • so I just listened to it while playing world of warcraft. That game has some beautiful scenery. I didn't notice the pix.. I'm just here looking for what that music is. DIdn't sound like moby to me sounds like generic ambient techno. I used to listen to that stuff but lost those cds a long time ago and want to buy more again. So if anyone knows some good artists/dj's please reply here.
