@MTL911Truth you understand very little about glass-steagall, how irrelevant it was to the big banksters and most importantly you don't understand how regulation favors monopolists, ALWAYS! if you want to know what the banksters really favored, was the deposit guarantee and fdic. that also looked like it was there to protect the savings of the common man but it allowed banks to do things without the vigilant eye of the average depositor. regulation is never the answer

@58robbo the global cabal are a bunch of banksters. Glass-Steagall was regulation curtailing their ability to be banksters. Glass-Steagall certainly did not play into their hands, that is why the banksters fought to destroy the Bretton Woods system and the Glass-Steagall act. They made banking boring again, as it should be, as it is not a productive industry and thus should not bring in excessive profits. If you allow bankers to do whatever they want you are courting disaster.
