Staind's song MUDSHOVEL. Unknown to many fans of Staind, their first album TORMENTED, produced and recorded soley by the band was never released officially. To most; Staind's first official work was the 1999 album, DYSFUNCTION. Originally the band was much heavier and had a very thrashy Hardcore sound. This version of Mudshovel was the original song recorded by the band in early 1996. After the band was signed to a label, they wanted to release Mudshovel as thir first single but the studio felt they had to re-record the song to make it more "Radio-Friendly". that is the version that most fans know and love today. I personaly love both versions and love all of Staind's work. However, i prefer their earlier songs and definetly prefer this version of Mudshovel.
