the radio tower it's aimed at in the first clip is about 2 or 3 miles away.
i didn't have the safety glasses so i wasn't about to look to aim it at the match in the last clip, instead i left it in just to show the smoke it created on the grass.

  • Hey man please answer this question. Whats this laser like during the day? can it be seen? and its burning capabilities? like balloons and shit? thanks man awesome video

  • @Goody908 I haven't messed around much with using it to burn things, but I know that DragonLasers sells an attachment separately that allows you to adjust the focus of the laser to burn things depending on the distance from the laser it is. During the day you cannot see the blue beam, however you can still see the "dot" on the target you are aiming it at, except that on this spartan laser the blue dot is a square, and looks to be about the size of a person's head if the target is further away.

  • @Tekma, Is the 1w laser here really dangerous? i mean do you REALLY need the safety glasses? im debating on getting the 400 mw spartan blue or this 1 w blue laser but i really dont want to get hurt with the 1 w. which one should i get?!

    thanks

  • @gavenid I wouldn't necessarily say the safety glasses are a must if you're just pointing in the sky like I was in this video. But I wouldn't dare try to use this indoors to burn things or anything close range like that without safety glasses.

  • that is very dangerous and potentionally illegal, if you happened to point it at an aircraft you didn't know what there...

just be safe, don't blind yourself!!! it's all about safety and responsibility, when it comes to these 1 watt lasers

  • @Frrrrrrrrunkis lol no planes were harmed in the making of this video. it is indeed a felony to shine a laser at an aircraft. but it was a very clear sky with no planes. and yeah you really do have to be safe: a lot of first timers that saw my laser got a headache just from seeing the beam pointed to the sky. i'm sure the radiation it puts out is not good for the eyes, so i rarely use the laser, just to be safe.

  • Hi there youtubers...

I made a video using two spartans 1W lasers.

One with beam expander and one without.

    Also have LPM measurement.

    Nice video btw Tekma! +1

  • Well you just answerd my question, I'm buying one. Can't wait for my next paycheck.

  • i just ordered one of these. How well does it do at long distances with the rectangle beam instead of a round one? i might cancel my order and get the artic spyder instead
