It takes a whole truck company to raise this mammoth beast! You guys have to call out an addition truck company just to raise ladders. Good way to keep the manpower up.

We had an opld mack with a bangor ladder just like that. Never used it because it was to heavy andlike the video took way too many FF to put it up.

@ffairlane57 Your ladder is for housekeep. The FD ladders are suppose told take more weight and abuse that your ladder would be able to take. More studier= more weight. Most firemen can throw a 24 ft ladder with gear on. Not to mention the gear adds at least an extra 40lbs.

@RALEIGHFD SFFD has plenty of ladder trucks, but in many instances there are too many live wires overhead (for the transit system) to be able to use them.
