劉明源: 草原上 (李泰祥 編, 黃安源 中胡) Liu MingYuan: On Grassland

Zhonghu is basically a bigger erhu with a lower range. It is a little more difficult to master. In Li TaiXiang's arrangement of this familiar piece, he uses a western chamber ensemble for accompaniment in place of the traditional chinese ensemble one usually hears. I think it works quite nicely here. He also conducts the chamber ensemble in this recording. Huang AnYuan does a masterful job on the zhonghu solo.

Sorry, I disagree. The Queen's record has much better performance. This one is OK, but the old recording back in the 60's had much deeper feeling. People simply don't play like that any more.
