@maximum411 With only a few hundred left, and those are not all necessarily in connected areas due to serious deforestation. Natural selection has pretty much fallen by the wayside until the population increases and is less fragmented. They are apparently extremely difficult to breed, when a female is only receptive to fertilization for 1 to 3 days in any 12 months. Lots of info at giantpandazoo com:¬)

@maximum411 No matter how much the inseminate those animals they will never stop having sex and procreating more pandas-- they do that to multiply the species faster :D
