@rgraz1022 The baritone was very good, in my opinion. Very dramatic, just like a Verdi baritone should be.

Wonderful duet. I personally like the baritone and of course Domingo. Live performances have much more energy than recordings. Thanks for taking the time to post and share this video with us.

Si, pero quien es ese tenor? Me suena esa voz!
El baritono tiene una emision curiosa, pero la voz es de primera. Creo que hay que ditinguir el sonido ideal para cada uno de nosotros y el hecho de que es, en primer lugar, un autentico baritono y no un tenor corto. Ademas tiene agudos y centro generoso.
El sonido es raro, si es verdad, pero como para decir que horrible, no lo creo.

I heard Genaro live in Un ballo in Maschera and he is an outstanding baritone. He himself gave me a VHS (!) of this recording. He was ready to sing either Otello's duet or this one, depending on what Domingo wanted to do prior to the concert. He did not even get to rehearse this. People criticizing singers seldom have the whole picture.
