On the eve of the Inauguration, Senator Chris Dodd and Representative Jim Himes (CT-4) meet with members of the Trumbull High School Marching Band to wish them luck and congratulate them for receiving the honor of representing Connecticut in the Inaugural Parade.

  • Congratulations Trumbull High School Band. What a great achievement. To Congressman Himes - Get your history right!The three-fifth compromise was established in 1787 as a way to compute the number of delegates each state would have to the House of Representatives (which you are now a member).

    The Dred Scott Decision ruled that states don't have the rights to someone's property that was fairly theirs in another state.

    Both acts were superceded by ammendments 13 & 14 to Constitution.
