  • I believe there were no plans to invade Iraq in 1994, but I could be wrong. Clinton signed the 'Iraq liberation act in 1998 and Bush removed Saddam 5 years later so here's that.

For your information, people wanted to do diplomacy with Hitler too. Hitler even signed a peace contract. Marquess of Queensberry rules meant nothing to Hitler or terrorist, or dictators.

They think it's stupid. They sign a peace contract with a naive peace maker and then stab him in the back.

  • thats when the plans to invade iraq were being drawn up. obviously hes gonna go and see if he can make a difference early before anything goes down. now ill agree it really didnt do much but hey he talked to the evilist of them all :)

  • Galloway's visit was a few years after the Kuwait invasion.

  • once again hes just being polite, intervention has a better chance when u befriend the war makers. its basic psychology as i said.

  • A leader that wanted to whipe out Kuwait in the early 90's. It was neccesary to intervent, just like in Yugoslavia...

And Galloway's praising Saddam's "courage". Come on, man.

  • that wasnt his intention at all. thats respect and proper etiquette for meeting a leader. its basic psychology to befriend someone. anyways his basis for going there was to stand up againest aggression towards iraq. hes opposed to war so it doesnt matter whos country hes in, hes trying to restrict wat both sides use. hes the mediation in effect

  • Look, most people would not go to Iraq with the intention of praising a dictator.

  • so he lied. who doesnt whys he so bad for that. i could see if this guy molested a boy and was hiding it but nothing close to make him a bad person. by ur logic everyones as evil as george galloway

  • He shouldn't have been there in the first place. And then you see him lying about it years later.

He's a really swell guy this Galloway!
