Well I have just seen SiCKo by moore and wonderful America hospitals are dumping patients out on the street if they can’t afford health care, a baby girl died in a hospital after another hospital refused to treat her because they are not covered by the insurance the holder had, and a man having to made a choose of saving a $12000 finger or the $60,000 finger – How civilized America is, in regards to being a third world country.... Iran has better health care for it’s people!!

I wish the US would leave our Health Service alone. As Mr. Prescott has said previously, we had the debate about the NHS when it was implemented by people who had a financial interest in keeping it private. But they didn't point to other systems as examples and annoy any other government. Please Sarah Palin, keep you ill-informed opinions about others Health Care Systems to yourself!

The NHS may not have a better specialist treatment but health care is about much more than that. Health is part of bigger plan which uses prevention and advertisement of good health which the UK is far more superior and yes we may have to wait more and have poorer teeth but that is a very small sacrafice to pay so all citizens in my society can recieve care as not in the case of the US who dumps cancer patients on the streets if they cant pay the bill "Shame on you America".

@justgetsome Given you refer to the NHS being the worlds 3rd largest employer and considering it looks after the heath of over 64,000,000 people how many people including those employed in your medical insurance giants are employed to run and maintain the US's bureaucratic insurance based system using 16% of US GDP in the process yet is still only rated 37th in world wide for healthcare. A system in which one US citizen dies every 12 min's because they lack the correct insurance?
