it runs my megasquirt engine management software. I am getting a flip out VGA display for it so I can put it in the glovebox and have a wireless keyboard because those mounts suck ass.

I'm using a zeitronix zt2 datalogger right now. It can only moniter exhaust gas temps, air:fuel ratio, rpm, throttle, boost, and MAF voltage. I will probably be using megasquirt in a few months, and it can monitor much more. :)

What data logging software are you using for Linux???? Are you using the vehicles OBD2 port??

I'm putting in a touchscreen VGA flip up in-dash display soon, making watching the road much easier. haha.
I only use the eeepc for tuning, and it's a datalogger (records engine shit) so I don't have to watch it while driving.
