On Wednesday, hundreds of protesters defied a curfew in a town in India's portion of divided Kashmir. Shops were closed for a second day across the Kashmir Valley in response to a strike call by separatist groups. (July 1)

Pakistan some how convinced Kashmiries that uniting with Pakistan will get them freedom. At the same time Pakistan is suffering economically; thinks kashmir is make things better for them. Kashmir has no natural resource; the place is just rocks. Pakistan will basically end up just like North Korea in 20 years or so. They just don't want to admit it just now.
