We will be adding a Chinese Crested (Powderpuff) to the family soon, and need to choose between these two puppies. They were exactly 7 weeks old on the day this was filmed...it was my second time meeting them. "Spunky" seems more confident and playful, whereas "Sweetie" seems quieter and more cuddly. At 7 weeks old it's debatable how much what we have seen so far will carry over into their adult lives. In any case, it's nice that we still have some time to get to know the puppies before we have to choose!

Of course, we could decide NOT to choose and simply take them both, but according to pretty much everyone who is anyone that is knowledgeable about dogs, taking two puppies at once is a VERY BAD IDEA.

  • Dogs are the best pets.

The only reason I can think of that getting two puppies simultaneously may be a bad idea is that training training a puppy can be a real; bear, not to mention the toll it takes on your furniture when they go through that chewing phase.

I've had as many as three dogs living with me at once, though different ages. Loved it.

BTW Lori, when you are going to make more guitar videos? A lot of us really like watching you play.

  • @robibm2003 Thanks, but I don't feel I have anything truly useful to contribute to the world of guitar these days, and goodness knows there is enough attention-seeking noise on Youtube as it is -- I sure don't want to be a contributor to that! And I agree -- dogs are the best pets (if you can commit to the responsibility of taking proper care of one)!

  • I think you should buy both :) I have 2 dogs who are siblings and they get on well with each other. And the most important thing is that they're never alone even when you aren't at home.

  • @HUNimaginary Actually, separation anxiety is one of my biggest worries, given that we work from home. We will have to work extra hard to teach future puppy that the sky isn't going to fall if she's left alone for a little while. This is important, because at some point the dog will inevitably need to be left alone...she will need to take that in stride, not freak out!

  • This is strange -- the music sounds so much like Arjen, but I can't recognize it. Can someone tell me what song this is?

  • @andreravn The composer wishes to remain anonymous for now, sorry! Nice music, though, I must say! :-)

  • i just got a powder puff and hes alot different looking than those to but hes cute cuddly playful and hyperactive

  • In the long run, I'm sure that it's best you took both pups, since they can be companions to each other.

  • Awhh I miss my powderpuff's puppy days. She was like a little ewok lol :3 what a cutie.

  • Sweetie -3

  • By now you've taken one already no doubt, but I still want to say that I'd take both. So if you're away and nobody's home, the dogs are never alone :)

I've always had two dogs at the same time as well (and two cats).

  • sweetie get her

  • I agree dogs are the best pets, and to repeat what has already been said...You are an amazing guitar player with loads of skill and feeling, and it would be nice to see you continue forward in the guitar field. You have more to offer than most on guitar, but your decision to take a step back is also very much respected.

  • SPUNKY! Dogs are to be played with. They'll cuddle when it's time to cuddle (like when it's time to sleep), but if you get something that just likes to be held, you might as well just get a cat.
