as most have said, you can auto rotate without the tail spinning, as long as you have forward airspeed. much the same as if your tail belt/tt brakes you can bring it down as along as you keep alot of forward airspeed :)
-
Even though the tail doesnt spin, can you still control the yaw while auto'ing?
-
Tareq spot :)
-
@lordlapswans you dont need tail if torque is not anymore being applyed to the main blades... like all oldschool helis !!
-
@McChilla1 Because it's ccpm the controls are a bit more complicated and they'll take about 10 flights to get comfortable with; but once you're fine with the controls you can start getting used to different orientations, and eventually do much more things in the air than you could do with a co-axial. :)
-
Autorotation?incredible, I never imagined possible with a heli that small.
-
Is it a good helicopter for People who have flown a coaxial Helicopter before ??
-
@YourFriendlyMe Blade type doesn't matter, I've done mine with both standard plastic and carbon fiber blades.
-
@lordlapswans You don't need a tail rotor to autorotate! If there's no torque from the motor, the heli won't spin, so you can autorotate with a little bit speed, that the tail doesn't start to turn, because of the friction of the bearings. (That isn't the torque of the rotor, only the friction!)
-
Lordlapswans, your an idiot, if the rotors are not being driven you don't need a tail. It will weather vain.
good job! I barely see it...
Is it the Tareq's place?
