i <3 band i wouldnt trade it for anything, we practice EVERYDAY and we just dont have seasons it either us marching or in door concerts we never take a break we work harder than anyother sport...

I'm in a high school band, and we work extremely hard. And yes, marching band is difficult...but this is a university band. Sadly, this is pathetic...it makes me wanna cry : (

It's possible to have fun and still sound good. This band only accomplishes one of those things.

Stop hating on scatter bands, it's ridiculous. A real band geek would understand and appreciate, not be out to "challenge other bands" or see who's better. Marching band isn't about being better than other bands or even marching in itself. It's about pushing how hard you can work to become a better person. It's a head fake. A huge one.

@TomazHilton I agree. Then I was just introduced to Columbia's scatter band which basically has no structure. Yale has a net worth of 16 billion. Their band can look and sound a'lot better than this.

@Maddison135 well i know it's been a yr since you said this but still they are adults, and if you see other bands even good highschool bands they don't care how heavy the instrument is they play it. Yes memorize is hard, so what? These people made it to Yale with their brain or talent memorize should not be to hard. Staying in step, remembering you spot/music, comes by practise if you practise then you should do fine, if you don't you will suffer.

LOL. I heard that Yale's marching band is taught the music, then told to just go run in circles on the field. Marching Band would be one of the main reasons I'd ever want to go to Yale<3333

OK everyone stop hating NOW. Im in marching band and let me tell you something. Instruments get heavy, you can barely move in the uniforms, your constantly playing with only moments to rest, you have to stay in step, you have to remember your spot, you have to remember your piece, and if you mess up the judges deduct points. So give them a break. If you've been im marching band then shut the hell up. Cuz some marching bands work harder than sports.
