Angel competed in the pre-introductory interpretive level at a recent figure skating competion in Duncan BC. She skated to "My Little Girl" by Tim McGraw and dedicated her solo to her dad. Angel's figure skating coach is Natalie Golbeck. Angel is a member of the Oak Bay Figure Skating Club. Angel is one of Variety's Kids and has a goal of raising $100,000 for Variety's Kids. She is also the author of '" Angel's Celebrity Charity Cookbook". Despite being born with Trisomy 21 and autism spectrum disorder Angel doesn't let anything stop her from being who she wants to be in life.

  • Love your discussions below and the interest you have taken in trying to learn about Down syndrome aka Trisomy 21. Angel has amazing abilities and we celebrate them all. It's Down syndrome Awareness Week right now....so help spread the word and celebrate the abilities of someone you know or love that has Trisomy 21. Thanks, from Angels mom.

  • Awhh! This is so cute!!:) Good job Angel!(:

  • wow well done angel

  • dont leave mean commets about her shape! She is really good!! keep it up honey! ;)

  • @princessgirl707 from what I just read online, this particular form of Down Syndrom occurs when there's two DNA "pieces" (instead of your typical one "piece") along the 21st DNA, causing the person to have 47 DNA "pieces," rather than 46.

  • Respond to this video... I just looked it up. Trisomy 21 is also known as Down's Syndrome, so she has an extra chromosome (47) in her DNA.

  • @princessgirl707 Her disability is in the discription, and it's one that I'm not familiar with. I really hope that she continues on with the skating as she does very well with it. :)

  • @jfluter wow!! i feel bad right now!! i did not know she had a disability!! she skates great!! for her condition! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 i support her 100 % <3

  • @princessgirl707 I think she skated fine. You have to keep in mind that she has a disability, so skating may not come as easily to her as it may to you. What's most important is that she's trying, and having fun. No matter your age, or if you have a disability, it takes courage to go out and skate in a competition in front of people. I hope to see more videos of her in the future.

  • Thanks :)
