Here in this video I show you how to make Windows 7 look like Windows XP. By installing Classic Shell to get the Windows XP start menu. And by adding the default Windows XP wallpaper to the desktop. And I also show you how to make Windows 7 look like Windows Vista as well.

  • Interesting. I would love to get back the original XP Search. With Windows 7 it can take days to find something. It is so annoying of Microsoft to change things without asking people that have used XP for year's

  • MicrosoftsourceCode, If you are talking about search companion. You know the search with the animated dog on Windows XP.Well,I have not found a software that will do that. But I have installed Agent Ransack that searches files the same way that search companion does on Windows XP.But there are no animated characters.Andrea Borman.

  • @andrea22borman Thanks. It's not the animated characters I want, it's the old search process where I choose what type off file to search for and the list of searched topics stay static should I choose on of the topics. The new Windows 7 search does not retain the list it shows meaning I have to keep retyping if I don't find and item the 1st time. having the Search with the start box has caused many problems. Thanks for the quick reply

  • MicrosoftsourceCode,Well Agent Ransack uses the Windows XP style search. And will find all files even hidden files. Agent Ransack works on Windows 7,Windows Vista and Windows XP. Although you do not need to use it on Windows XP, because you have got search companion. Andrea Borman.
