thats because the ones in thai get forced to be perfect. us american's are not going to beat them when they mess up. watch the ones from thai, the guys are whispering in there ears scaring them.
I worked for these guys way back in 1996 and '97 when they were still traveling around the country. I met them in Lincoln, NE and they let me help out while they were here. Anyone know how I can get a hold of them?
*Sigh* Now all the zoos are following along with this latest fad. I admit it doesn't seem abusive, but there's two things wrong: for an elephant to paint, it has to 1: be held captive, and 2: be "broken" from the wild, in order to interact with humans, both of which are unethical. Also, they paint for gawking tourists, and for animals as magnificent as that to perform tricks for people is also wrong. Personally I'd rather just watch them behave naturally, playing and socializing like they do.
