I'm an American, but I love Aussies. This national anthem brings tears to my eyes, and I consider it every bit as beautiful as the Star-Spangled Banner... Cheers to our Australian friends!

Please do remember if your comming down under to SLIP SLOP SLAP in the summer (Slip on a t-shirt slop on some sunscreen an slap on a hat) an when driving long distance please remember to pull over when tired, REST, REVIVE AN YOU SHALL SURVIVE! :)

ive driven Adelaide to perth (the 90 mile straight, nullabor an great australian bite are spectacular) an from adelaide to melborne, sydney then camberra. from how long it took from adelaide to the Australian Capitol Territory (12 hours straight of driving) think it'd take roughly round 6 - 10 hours of drivin
South Australia is the Driest State of Australia, you should come down some day an check it out.
P.S. Bring Sun Screen, A Hat an some Bathers, youll want to go swimming if its summer :)

Not ridiculous at all.
From about 400k west it gets sparse. A good road trip would be from Sydney, through Cobar to Broken Hill which is in the far west of the state, on the NSW and S Australia border, about 1200k (750miles) by car and about 950k for a bird.
-
Allright then. I do have a question, though, and it might be considered ridiculous however. How far westward from Sydney would you have to drive until the eucalyptus forest ends and the desert begins?

No need to apologise mate, no offence taken.
-
I understand, it meant completely as a humorous comment. My apologies.

A light hearted comment and of course, taken as intended. However, over 75% of the population of Australia has no direct connection with convicts whatsoever.
