Hugh Jackman shows his support for R U OK?Day, a national day of action that aims to prevent suicide by encouraging people to connect with colleagues, friends and loved ones and ask: "Are you OK?".
Haha this video is on the Hillsong website. I think about suicide because that so called church didnt show me any care or support when I went to their pastors three times about my struggles and burden. THREE TIMES they acted like I didn't matter. So thanks hillsong, you really didn't say "R U OK" to me. No wonder I feel like driving to the Gap
@marcos20alves HAHAHA! I would love to see that actually. I think it would be a global statement. I must give you credit for speaking your mind and being courageous about what's 'really' going on in the world. But, the REAL issue here - I believe - is YES ad's, magazines, companies, Pm all have a secret under-meanings... That is why I don't watch tv, check the latest gossip or be apart of such things that led to mental issues. Honestly we deceive ourselves. Everything we create is in our minds.
@221180rolly you know what would be good?a dont-buy-stuff-you-dont-need day. I dare the big companies and the pm agree on choosing a day where folks would not buy nothing but food and things they DO need. because people get depressed cuz ads tell they should feel depressed unless they were able to buy an expensive car,a big house and owned lots of stuff they dont need. our politicians never come up with real solutions to our problems, its just a matter of deception, deceive us with crap like ruok
@marcos20alves Maybe it is "a national day my ass" but have you ever gone through depression or something similar? Wouldn't you like to help someone closet to you that is suffering on the inside? But, Yes I agree with you that people do commit suicide not only in Australia but globally. I believe there is nothing wrong with wanting to take your life, but if you do have a reason to live then live it. There is two sides to everything. I am glad Australia is trying to help others. We inspire others
I believe the message here is: that people should be aware of the issue that depression can lead to suicide and self harm. I am glad someone as stepped up. So why not care about your friends, family, work colleges and take the interest to help someone you know or do not know. Honestly its easier to talk to a complete stranger about yourself and your secrets then it is to ask/talk to someone you know. I am speaking from experience. I have canned depression and have not had a lash back for 5 years
Can we at least call this "Are you OK day?", rather than perpetuate this way of spelling. Anything promoting mental health awareness is good, but don't try and appeal to kids by fucking up the spelling.
a national day my ass, something sponsored by a company or companies can't be good at all. people commit suicide because their lives suck and existence can get boring as hell, nothing wrong with that.one has the right of killing himself. Geez people should stop judging others and start respecting their decicion of ending their lives period, cut the borgus agenda ok?otherwise australia will never be taken seriously by the eyes of the world, time to get over nihilism n become a leader

The deliberate misspelling of R U OK makes me want to commit suicide, incidentally. Lol...
