Kayaking the Savannah River from the Savannah Rapids Pavilion to the North Augusta boat ramp on April 9, 2009. The water from the Augusta canal that is now diverted back to the river makes for a fast and enjoyable ride.
its a fun trip. i do it almost every weekend but i taking my fishing rods on the way down. the left side of the river right before you get to the flat water near the end is kinda rough but fun. a lot of rocks as well that get you hung up.
I appreciate the comments. My son is big into whitewater kayaking and we bought him a Hero helmet cam for Xmas. His videos are cool. It will have to warm up a bit before I tackle any whitewater. My son did the race in Columbia 2 weeks ago and had ice on his kayak skirt.
I just went down that this past Sunday and the water is up. I couldn't even see any rocks. Thats nice to enjoy something like that here in Augusta. Great Video!
