Battlefield: Bad Company 2 - Aggressive Recon Tactics by Sgt.Enigma (KingKumaForever)

I had some time last night and played a quick match of Rush with some buddies of mine; Kaiser Tarkin and Stealth.

Anyway I thought I'd share some quick tips on playing as an Aggressive Recon as an Attacker on Rush.

GameMode: Rush
Map: WhitePass
Spawn: Attackers
Tactic: Aggressive Recon

Kit layout:
- SV98
- Lightweight
- Magnum Ammo
- MP443 (Sidearm)

Having good cooperation with your teammates you can apply these tactics to your advantage on pretty much any Rush map that allows for decent flanking. Primary focus is to have your buddies take the M-Coms while you (as the aggressive recon) work the enemy spawns.

Key reminders when playing an Aggressive Recon
- Always flank around the outsides of the map (never up the center)
- Keep motion censor mines on your objectives at all times
- Use high elevation to your advantage (rooftops, staircases, crates, walls, etc..)
- Keep pressure on the enemy spawns
- When taking an M-COM always apply the C4+Motion mine combination afterwards
- Time and coordinate a Pre-Rush before the next objectives open

COUNTER tips against The Aggressive Recon

- Watch and guard potential flanks
- If you're a recon always use mtion mines on your objectives
- Get out of range if you are detected by enemy mines
- If in a good position don't move if detected
- Use elevation to your advantage (rooftops, trees, hills, etc..)
- Stay within range or focuse on your objective
- Communication is KEY!

is this being fast forwarded? i really cant tell... on playstation lightweight doesnt make you run half that speed...

@xILLNESS: On the PC, you can increase your field of view (FOV) to whatever you want. Sgt.Enigma has his FOV set to 88. The default FOV is like 55 and you can't change it on consoles.

@GamersBuffet i guess its just something to do with the keyboards compared to contolers, since the analogs and bottons are pressure sensitive if you get me? on the keyboard the slightest touch and they will be running, looks better for pc tho!

@xILLNESS: You can move faster with keyboard and mouse than the console controllers. I'm a PS3 and PC player so I know how it feels.

@xILLNESS: When you increase your FOV, you see more around your screen and it makes you look like you run faster but you're still running at the same speed.

is it me or on ps3 i go into a game of conquest on bfbc2 and i only get into a lobby with about 4 to 6 people in, is it because no one plays conquest? lol.

This is great,I love aggressive sniping,i just wish he would use m24 with regular scope it looks much better

also 1.is there a way to disable headbob and how?

2.did they add a key that switches only betwen primary and secondary/ i hate to use 1 and 2 keys when I could use only one

do you really have to call it a motion sensor mine? i'm not hatting on you I mean i love the video but i'm just saying calling it a motion sensor seems way more efficient to say

@JP8940 this is simply not true, you can quite easily spec with a g3 or shotgun and be a close range recon using efficient use of the motion mine which spots multiple opponants in a wide area and use c4 for taking out enemy vehicles/buildings and area denial.

Your a good player with the rifle at such close range, but it is the incorrect way of playing recon. Recon is like a scout sniper, his role is to provide intel of the enemy location via spotting and voice communication from long distance.
