We were lucky to have Ruger come by our booth at NRA 09 right after they introduced the market's best kept secret - the Ruger SR-556. This gun truly has it all - a 2-stage piston driven operating system, a 4-position regulator, chrome-plated bolt, bolt carrier and extractor, a complete Picatinny rail system with Troy Industries Rail Covers, and even more...

Well done Ruger! http://ruger.com/Firearms/FAProdView?model=5902&return=Y

  • @glockhead702 sig 556 is great but bulky

  • @Antiworld23

Because it is not a direct gas operated bolt. And it isnt named AR-15.

I know its the same exact thing. But here those insignificant details matter.

  • Why wouldn't it?

  • My husband has one, its the best AR ever!

  • I know that, it doesnt matter in Canada. It is purely based on look, branding and mechanism.

    Our gun laws suck.

  • It is an AR-15/ M4 the only differance between the Ruger 556 and original AR's is its piston driven instead of direct impengment (gas driven)

  • do you think that the ruger sr 556 is bater then the sigs 556 ? ? ? only time will tell

  • I wonder if it qualify as an AR-15 in Canada. If yes, ill get one!

  • Nice presentation!!!
