De is not dead, as long as we remember him.
Though I still miss him very very much.

Didn’t all 3 do some westerns before Trek? I guess Bones did the most being the oldest. Is that why they called him Bones? I’m dead Jim! He was the best. LOL... Come get some Catspit~! ☠

A couple of times, he looks a little like pre-Trek William Shatner.
I always enjoy seeing Trek regulars (of any of the series) in roles before the show.

He was too awesome for this planet.

Is it wrong that the thought of DeForest Kelley jumping onto a wagon to bitch slap someone with a pistol makes me super happy. Cause if it is well...I'm wrong. Thank you for this. God Bless the old Cowboys. Those still alive and those who've left us.

It is a real shame the way todays actors (a lot of them but not all) carry on. Married & divorced like yo-yos. De was in a different league, with others such as Alan Alda who actually had character and talent themselves and not mimicked from others. They made their won paths and left a woth wild legacy for future genreations.

Is that the Lone Ranger who is holding a gun at 1:35

It was a fun joke picture taken during the filming of Star Trek's Spectre of the Gun.

Perfect match. By choosing this song you made it sound as if Cash had written it for Kelley. I'm really impressed. I thought I'd heard all the Johnny Cash songs, especially the hits from Walk the Line. This video makes me sorry Mr. Kelley's Golden Boot award came posthumously. However, what's cool about him is that he intensely enjoyed acting the whole time: for him it was the journey, not the finish. He knew he was special and shared it for over 40 years.

Hey there! Where are the images at :58 and 1:43 from? I've been trying to find them myself but its hard to find good information about Mr. Kelley's pre-Star Trek days.
Thanks!

At 0:58 this is a picture from Gunfight at the Ok Corral.
1:43 is from a pilot episode in 1974, of I believe The Cowboys: David Done It (I have never seen it would love to though)
Hope this helps
