HD retake at the Delta Chelsea Hotel in Toronto. This tower opened around 1990, making this Canada's largest hotel with 1600 rooms.

  • Hey, check it out! Schindler's lifts!

  • Yup, Schindler must be replacing the cables. They just did it at the Marriott Copley Place last month. They leave the spools on the highest floor and put the Schindler barricades around whatever one is being worked on.

  • I have been in this Elevator before. It is nice but I never found out it was Schindler.

  • @ElevatingBoston cables wear more since they are moving faster. new cables give a smoother ride. nice round square fixtures. riding this elevator should be part of any vacation.

  • @brentalfloss aawwwwwww, boooooo! lol!

  • Interesting. Any idea if its normal after 20-25 years? BTW, have u ever been in the building that Cheers is in? I remember some very interesting manual door elevators there, but haven't ridden them. Not sure how accessible they are.

  • i wonder if they are doing cable work that looked like a cable spool
