I'm amazed that someone of the 21st century is so small minded! Even the Roman church concedes that through God's mercy God's salvation may possibly be attained through other faiths The key to Jesus teaching is on how to conduct one's life and to connect to the divine. Do you realize that some of Jesus' parables are found in the Buddhist scriptures which predate HIm (ie. prodigal son) He obviously had some familiarity with other thought besides Judaism so I wouldn't be so quick to condem.

@robcd35 Well, that may be....but that's what Christ teaches:  "I am the way, the truth, and the life...no one comes to the Father except through me"...........the heart of Christianity is not the Law or what we do...the heart of Christanity is What God has done in Jesus Christ to save us from sin, death, and damnation. That's the Gospel...The Gospel makes Christianity unique ..not the Law...everyone knows the Law (even a Buddhist, etc) beause it is written on man's heart..not so the Gospel

Hi..we honor the Church Fathers except when they deviate from Scripture. No one can be saved apart from the promise of Jesus Christ...whether that promise is in the O.T. which speaks of His coming or in the N.T. announcing his arrival. The Apostles did NOT teach Socrates was saved. Oral tradition cannot contradict written tradition. Pastor Lassman

Hi..well they weren't saved. Not all Roads lead to the Real God. All those other religions are simply inventions of human beings. As the first commandment says...there is only one God and He sent Jesus to save the whole world which is received by faith..either prior to His coming or after...Pastor Lassman

If the old testament is a jewish book, then why is it used in christianity? Jesus was jewish!!! Jesus couldn't have been christian, because he would have had to believe in himself! Jesus was sent to earth BY GOD alone! But by the coming of christ in the new testament, it should have opened the eyes of people to believe in jesus! He is the only way to God!

@robcd35 If Savlation is obatianed from other faiths, what is the need for faith religon at all? Not only have you negated Christ's death and resurection, but also have undermided the unique claims of other religons. If God has a purpose for us (immortal begins) beyond death. And He makes a differance between those He finds useful for that purpose and those He does not, those immortal souls, the ones who God has determined to be of no use to Him, will need a place i.e. hell.

Belief in God! And if Christ had not become the sin for us, we would have no animals left for sacrifice.
