@oskie3333 I used to be in the IBEW, but now I'm an electrical engineering student at LSU. The permeability and permittivity of metals in jewelry can be dangerous when operating near voltages like that, but mainly because of the CURRENT inducing alternating magnetic fields, not the voltage.
Electricians are strictly not allowed to wear metal jewelry at all, even while doing low voltage stuff. I went without wearing my wedding ring for a year.
Am I a pussy? Maybe. But I'm alive.
